MARTIN A. HECKSCHER graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude in 1956 and from Harvard Law School in 1959. A senior partner of Duane, Morris & Heckscher until 1994, Martin chaired its Trust and Estate Department for 17 years and was a member of its executive committee. Martin is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and was formerly a member of its executive committee and its Board of Regents. He is a former chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Probate and Trust Law Section and was secretary to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Orphans' Court Rules Committee from 1986 until 1992.

Martin devotes approximately 25% of his practice to fiduciary litigation. He is frequently engaged as an expert witness in fiduciary litigation cases.
