February 17, 2012 Jack Terrill, in conjunction with Gideon Rothschild of Moses & Singer, LLP, a New York, New York based law firm, presented a webcast, "Asset Protection Trust Planning: 2012 Update." The webinar, sponsored by ALI-ABA, covered the latest domestic and foreign legislative developments in asset protection trusts and relevant topics.

January 17, 2012 Ellen Deringer joined Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager as an associate attorney. Ellen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and concentrates her practice in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Charitable Planning. Prior to joining Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager, Ellen was an associate in the Personal Law Section of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia.

November 17 & 18, 2011 Five Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys spoke at the 18th Annual Estate Law Institute, a two day symposium that focused on Trust and Estate Law. The forum was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. HTT&S presentations included:

"The Financial Action Task Force and the Good Practices Guidelines: Will There be a Federal Rules of Lawyer Ethics?" by Jack Terrill.

"Gift Tax Preparation: The Law and Lore," by Jill Fowler.

"Selected Guardianship Problems and How to Deal With Them," a joint presentation with Margaret Sager and The Hon. Stanley R. Ott.

"Situs Issues Under the UTA," by Brad Terebelo.

"Generation Skipping Transfer Tax," by Brad Terebelo with Dave Elwell as a co-author.

"Know When to Mold'em, Know When to Fold'em: Modifying and Terminating Trusts," a joint presentation with Margaret Sager and Linda Rhone Enion.

November 18, 2011 Jack Terrill was a featured speaker at the 9th Annual Sophisticated Trusts and Estates Law Institute, New York. His presentation, "The Financial Action Task Force and the Good Practices Guidance," was authored by Duncan E. Osborne, and was used with author's permission. The Institute was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association.

November 15, 2011 Martin Heckscher received the 2011 Philadelphia Estate Planning Council Distinguished Estate Planner Award. The Philadelphia Estate Planning Council is a highly recognized interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. For more information click here.

November 2, 2011 Seven attorneys from the firm were named Best Lawyers in Trusts and Estates in the 2012 edition of Best Lawyers in America. August 1, 2011 Sipi S. Gupta joined Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager, as an associate attorney. Sipi, a graduate of Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law (JD), concentrates her practice in Special Needs Trusts. She previously worked at the Pennsylvania Health Care Project as a staff attorney.

July 18, 2011 Alex Lyden-Horn is now an associate attorney with Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager. Alex is a graduate of Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law (JD and LLM), and concentrates his practice in Estate and Tax Planning and Trusts. Prior to joining HTT&S, Alex was an associate at a suburban Philadelphia estates and trusts firm.

July, 2011 Tim Holman was a featured speaker at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's seminars in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on "Litigating in Orphans' Court," at which he spoke on the topic of Surcharge Litigation and Removal of Fiduciary Issues.

July, 2011 Eight HTTS Lawyers were recently named as "Superlawyers".
