November 22, 2016 At its October, 2016 meeting, The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national, non-profit association of leading trust and estate lawyers, elected Adam T. Gusdorff as a Fellow. Membership to ACTEC is by peer nomination and then election by the Board of Regents, ensuring a high level of integrity, competence and experience in the trust and estate field. Adam's practice focuses on litigation involving trusts, estates, guardianships, and other fiduciary matters. He represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of Orphans' Court and Register of Wills matters throughout Pennsylvania.

November 1, 2016 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager was again named as a Best Law Firm in the US News & World Report 2017 edition of law firm rankings. HTT&S was selected as a Metropolitan Tier 1 firm in Philadelphia, PA for Trusts and Estates Law, and a Tier 3 firm in the same practice area nationally in the US News and World Report 2017 edition of Best Law Firms.

July 15, 2016 Ten Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys were recently named Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. The attorneys named as Super Lawyers are: Martin A. Heckscher, John A. Terrill, II, Margaret E.W. Sager, Kim D. Fetrow, Thomas O. Hiscott, Jill R. Fowler and Adam T. Gusdorff. Bradley D. Terebelo, Jennifer A. Kosteva and John T. Stinson, Jr., were all named as Rising Stars.

February 16, 2016 John A. Terrill, II received the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council's (PEPC) Distinguished Estate Planner for 2016, and was recognized for this honor at the PEPC's February 16, 2016 lunch meeting. The Philadelphia Estate Planning Council is an interdisciplinary organization that provides its members with educational and networking opportunities.

December 10, 2015 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager was named as a Best Law Firm in the US News & World Report 2016 edition of law firm rankings. HTT&S was selected as a Metropolitan Tier 1 firm in Philadelphia, PA for Trusts and Estates Law, and a Tier 3 firm in the same practice area nationally in the US News and World Report 2016 edition of Best Law Firms.

August 19, 2015 Seven Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys are listed in the 2016 edition of Best Lawyers. Martin A. Heckscher, John A. Terrill, II, Margaret E.W. Sager, Kim D. Fetrow, Thomas O. Hiscott and Jill R. Fowler were named Best Lawyers - Trusts and Estates, and Margaret E.W. Sager and Adam T. Gusdorff received the recognition for Litigation - Trusts and Estates. The Best Lawyers recognition is especially meaningful as it is awarded through a peer-review process.

May 27, 2015 At the seventh commencement exercises of the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, graduates Emalee Popoff and Neal Wiley were presented with the inaugural Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager Graduation Award for Excellence in Trusts and Estates Law. The award is given each year to one or two graduating students who have demonstrated excellence in the study of Trusts and Estates.

March 23, 2015 At its March, 2015 meeting, The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national, non-profit association of leading trust and estate lawyers, elected John A. Terrill, II, to be its Secretary for 2015-16 and Margaret E.W. Sager to a three-year term on its Board of Regents. Membership to ACTEC is by peer nomination and then election by the Regents, ensuring a high level of integrity, competence and experience in the trust and estate field. Jack was elected as a Fellow of the College in 1991. Prior to his election as Secretary, Jack held leadership positions on the Executive Committee, the Board of Regents, the FATF Task Force and the Asset Protection Committee. He served as Pennsylvania State Chair from 2012 through 2015. In the ordinary course over the next five years Jack will serve as an officer of ACTEC and in 2019-2020 as President. Margaret Sager's involvement with ACTEC since her election in 1999 has included chairing the Fiduciary Litigation Committee and membership on the Professional Responsibility Committee, the Program Committee, the Arbitration Task Force and the Nominating Committee. In total, six partners of the West Conshohocken firm Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager are ACTEC Fellows.

March 17, 2015 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager recently named Adam T. Gusdorff and Bradley D. Terebelo as partners in the firm. Adam joined the firm in 2012 and concentrates his practice in Fiduciary Litigation. Brad has practiced law with Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager since 2007, and his practice involves all aspects of trust and estate planning and administration, focusing extensively on trust administration and fiduciary litigation.

December 11, 2014 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager was named a Best Law Firm, Metropolitan Tier 1 for Philadelphia in Trusts and Estates Law and Litigtaion - Trusts & Estates and a Best Law Firm, Tier 3 Nationally for the firm's work in Trusts & Estates by US News and World Report 2015 edition of Best Law Firms.

September 15, 2014 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager welcomes John T. Stinson, Jr. to the firm. John focuses his practice on Fiduciary Litigation as well as advising fiduciaries and beneficiaries in of formal court disputes. John previously practiced in a large firm in Center City Philadelphia.

March 28, 2014 Margaret E.W. Sager was named Lawyer of the Year for 2014 by Best Lawyers in Trusts and Estates Litigation. Each year, only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area receives this accolade. Best Lawyers uses a peer-review process, and this annual award reflects the high level of respect other attorneys have for Ms. Sager's abilities, high level of professionalism, and integrity as a Trusts and Estates Litigator. Seven other Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys were also named as Best Lawyers, including: Martin A. Heckscher, L. Pierre Teillon, Jr., John A. Terrill, II, Kim D. Fetrow, Thomas O. Hiscott and Jill R. Fowler. The Firm was also designated a Tier 1 Firm for the Philadelphia metropolitan region in Trusts and Estates Law and Litigation - Trusts and Estates, and a Tier 3 Firm nationally for the same practice areas.

March 9, 2014 John A. Terrill, II was elected to the Executive Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

November 14, 2013 Five Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys presented at the 20th Annual Estate Law Institute, the Philadelphia region's annual conference on estate law. The two-day conference was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. John A. Terrill, II, Kim D. Fetrow, Thomas O. Hiscott, Jill R. Fowler, and Bradley D. Terebelo represented the firm at the annual event.

November 13, 2013 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager welcomes two associates to the firm, Katie S. Galeone and Peter E. Moshang. Katie's practice will concentrate in Estate Planning and Estate and Trust Administration. Prior to joining the firm, Katie clerked for the Honorable Jane Grall, J.A.D., in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. Peter's practice will concentrate in Estate Planning and Estate and Trust Administration. During law school, Peter was the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine at Boston University School of Law.

August 26, 2013 John A. Terrill, II, was recently elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Natural Lands Trust. The Natural Lands Trust is the Philadelphia region's foremost land conservation organization, and since its founding in 1953 has preserved more than 100,000 acres. The announcement of Jack's election to Chair can be found on the Natural Lands Trust's website.

June 28, 2013 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager welcomes Michael A. Breslow to the firm. Michael's practice will concentrate in Estate Planning and Estate and Trust Administration. Prior to joining the firm, Michael practiced at a small tax and trusts and estates firm in Philadelphia and was a clerk for the Honorable Mala Sundar, J.T.C., in the Tax Court of New Jersey, in Newark, New Jersey.

November 27, 2012 Martin A. Heckscher, L. Pierre Teillon, Jr., and John A. Terrill, II were honored by the Women's Initiative Committee of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council (PEPC) with their inaugural Men of Vision Award. The Women's Initiative Committee considered candidates for the award who are male members of the Council and have championed the advancement of women throughout their careers. The Philadelphia Estate Planning Council is an interdisciplinary organization that provides its members with educational and networking opportunities.

November 1, 2012 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager was named as a Best Law Firm in the US News & World Report 2013 edition of law firm rankings. HTT&S was selected as a Tier 1 firm in Philadelphia, PA for Trusts and Estates Law, and a Tier 3 firm in the same practice area nationally.

September 27, 2012 Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager welcomes Adam T. Gusdorff to the firm. Adam's practice is centered around fiduciary litigation, where he will represent clients before the many Orphans' Courts in the Philadelphia region. He previously practiced in a large firm in Center City Philadelphia.

August 3, 2012 Jen Kosteva was a panelist on a Pennsylvania Bar Institute sponsored course, "Tax Consequences in Divorce: Avoiding the Pitfalls 2012." The program, geared toward family law practitioners and provided an overview of income tax and other related issues in divorce, was presented live in Philadelphia and telecast to other locations in Pennsylvania. Mary Jo Corsetti, Esquire, of Williams Coulson in Pittsburgh, co-authored the presentation with Jen.

March 9, 2012 Jack Terrill was one of four panelists who presented a program titled, "Difficult Clients, Difficult Situations: Practical Ways to Manage Professional Conversations," at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in Miami Beach, Florida.

February 17, 2012 Jack Terrill, in conjunction with Gideon Rothschild of Moses & Singer, LLP, a New York, New York based law firm, presented a webcast, "Asset Protection Trust Planning: 2012 Update." The webinar, sponsored by ALI-ABA, covered the latest domestic and foreign legislative developments in asset protection trusts and related topics.

November 17 & 18, 2011 Five Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager attorneys spoke at the 18th Annual Estate Law Institute, a two day symposium that focused on Trust and Estate Law. The forum was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. HTT&S presentations included:

"The Financial Action Task Force and the Good Practices Guidelines: Will There be a Federal Rules of Lawyer Ethics?" by Jack Terrill.

"Gift Tax Preparation: The Law and Lore," by Jill Fowler.

"Situs Issues Under the UTA," by Brad Terebelo.

"Generation Skipping Transfer Tax," by Brad Terebelo with Dave Elwell as a co-author.

"Know When to Mold'em, Know When to Fold'em: Modifying and Terminating Trusts," a joint presentation with Margaret Sager and Linda Rhone Enion.

November 18, 2011 Jack Terrill was a featured speaker at the 9th Annual Sophisticated Trusts and Estates Law Institute, New York. His presentation, "The Financial Action Task Force and the Good Practices Guidance," was authored by Duncan E. Osborne, and was used with author's permission. The Institute was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association.

November 15, 2011 Martin Heckscher received the 2011 Philadelphia Estate Planning Council Distinguished Estate Planner Award.
