Martin Heckscher’s practice consists of estate planning and trust and estate administration, with a special emphasis on fiduciary litigation. He is a nationally recognized authority on attorneys’ fees and commissions in connection with the administration of trusts and estates. Martin is also co-author, with partner Margaret Sager, of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s “Attorneys’ Fees, Fiduciary Commissions and Costs,” the leading legal materials on these issues related to trusts, estates, and guardianships in Pennsylvania. He frequently provides expert testimony in court cases involving fiduciary matters.

Martin is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. A graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, Martin served as a former president of the Harvard University Alumni Association. He serves on the board of the Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Cemeteries. He is an honorary trustee of the Presser Foundation, and is a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Council of Emeriti Directors following more than 25 years as a member of the Orchestra’s Board of Directors.
